About ME

I'm Alessandro Meniconi,
an Umbrian Winemaker

I am a professional oenologist born and raised in Montefalco, a land renowned for its generous and distinctive wines. Wine runs through my blood —what began as a deep passion has naturally evolved into my life’s work. Growing up surrounded by vineyards and tradition, I developed a profound respect for the land and the people who cultivate it.

I work as a consulting oenologist, helping wineries express the true identity of their terroir through their wines. I am also a certified professional sommelier, which enriches my perspective and allows me to approach wine from both a technical and sensory point of view.

I love my homeland, its flavors, and its stories. Wine, for me, is not just a product, it’s culture, heritage, and emotion in a bottle. I’m passionate about sharing what makes our region special: great wine, authentic food, and meaningful connections. Whether I’m in the cellar, in the vineyard, or at the table, I strive to celebrate and elevate the richness of Umbria with others who appreciate the beauty of well-crafted wine.
